Set up expectations ahead of time, and make them prominent.
Make content course-specific and relatable to teaching area.
Don't blog just for 'fun'.
Must be engaging and interesting.
Know your purpose for creating and maintaining the blog.
Allow students to critique others' thoughts and ideas, but provide guidance in terms of acceptable social interaction.
